Godwick hall and great barns wedding photography – Katrina & James

An emotional wedding day on so many levels at Godwick hall great barns in Norfolk, it was such a pleasure to be apart of.

I met the ladies nice and early during bridal prep and Katrina was so up beat and full of energy, I had to keep my wits about me to try and photograph her extensive array of expressions. I love this type of bridal prep where I can just stand back and capture the laughter and antics as they unfold.

Watching mum help Katrina into her wedding dress was a special moment and the grand reveal to all her lovely bridesmaids went down a treat.

We left for the stunning location of Godwick Hall, this was my first wedding there and I was so excited to get stuck into some creative photography.

James and the boys were busy greeting the guests; I got the impression this was going to be a lively wedding, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Katrina arrived in style and after a quick meeting with the registrars she walked down the aisle to meet her groom.

The registration and blessing had a beautiful mixture of emotion, laughter and sentiment, a perfect blend making a compelling service.

The time had come for everyone to let their hair down, there was always something for me to photograph; the whole day was non-stop action with generous amounts of laughter and fun.

The Godwick highlight is the famous tractor ride to the ruins. I tried to mix it up a little so we headed into some fields, which turned out to be a winner.

The whole wedding just flowed like one big party. We even ended up, against all odds, being able to capture the most wonderful and deserved of sunsets. The sky just ignited and smiled down on us, it was perfect.

Back into the barn for some outrageous dance moves which I’m sure lasted long into the night, a simply stunning wedding day.
