This wedding has to be up there as one of my all time favourites. Firstly, it was at one of the best venues around, one with unlimited creative options, with some of the loveliest and most helpful staff in the business; Bassmead Manor Barns.
Secondly, Sophie & Ben where just the ideal couple to photograph; they were full of fun, adventure and love.
It was a beautiful spring morning, blue skies and warmth in the air. Sophie’s bridal preparation all came together nicely; we had plenty of time to relax and capture images without a rush. Sophie really did look stunning; her beaming smile was infectious.
I found out the Groomsmen had personalised boxer shorts, so of course we needed to get a shot of that! Such a great group of guys.
The ceremony in the Rickety Barn was ever so touching; the look on Ben’s face was just priceless as Sophie walked down the aisle. The barn really does offer a special place to exchange vowels.
Throughout the day I enjoyed mingling with the guests and capturing everyone letting their hair down. When there were opportune moments I would take Sophie and Ben off for five-minute spells to capture some portraits of them both. This time is perfect for all bride and grooms to unwind and take in the day and come away with some lovely images in the process.
Creative After dark Photography
As many of you know I’m a big fan of the after dark portraits too, and this day was no exception, after we were treated to a gorgeous sunset, we then took advantage of a full moon and the stars above to create some beautiful images.
The dance floor was bouncing all night and a highlight of mine was the girls dancing to ‘rolling down the river’, a hen do anthem no doubt.
Sparklers at the end of the evening capped off an utterly superb day, thank you for letting me be a part of it.
