Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding Photographer – Emma & Ross

After getting to know Emma and Ross at their engagement shoot I had the feeling was going to be a lovely day, they were such an easy going couple and both had great personalities.

I’d photographed some of their friends weddings in the past and all of them had been so much fun, such a lively crowd, so I had high hopes and I wasn’t disappointed.

It was good to be back shooting at one of my favourite wedding venues, Bassmead Manor Barns. The bride and groom can guarantee being well looked after here. The staff at Bassmead are a pleasure to work with.

I met Emma on site nice and early, with enough time to let the girls get ready in peace whilst I went about photographing the wedding dress and all her special details; I love focusing on all the finer details especially in this rustic setting.

As the preparations progressed, it was lovely to witness the excitement starting to build amongst the bridal party.

At Bassmead Manor barns the groom can also get ready on site; this gives the photographer a great opportunity to nip in between the bride and groom.

Ross and the boys were setting out the lawn games whilst enjoying an ice cold beer or two. I made sure I was in the vicinity whilst Ross was opening his presents from his wife to be, it was plain to see how much thought and effort had gone into the gifts.

I arrived back in time to capture the final stage of Emma putting on her wedding gown; she looked stunning. I also loved the pastel tones of the bridesmaid dresses; everything looked perfect together.

Emma’s father was patiently waiting to get his first glimpse of his daughter, and once he did the emotion spilled over once more.

The time had soon come around to enter the Rickety Barn for the wedding ceremony. This must have been one of the most heartfelt and emotional ceremonies I’ve ever photographed, it was a pleasure to be a part of.

From there on in, the day was all about having fun. I was kept busy capturing candid moments along with all the necessary group photos. I particularly enjoyed taking Emma and Ross out alone around the grounds of Bassmead, this was the perfect time for them to reflect on their stunning day. The fields out the back are a real highlight for me and offer some great photography backdrops.

After a delicious meal it was time for the speeches, and as anticipated, they were emotional. It’s amazing how fast the wedding day goes when you’re enjoying yourself and before I knew it I was setting up for the first dance.

From past experience I knew this crowd loved to throw a few shapes on the dance floor, I wasn’t disappointed; they tore up the dance floor, especially Rosie with her legendary Gangnam style routine, pure gold!

As the night was drawing in I managed to sneak them off once more for few creative images in the dark, what an ace bride and groom, Emma & Ross it was a pleasure.
