Meeting Camille and Adrian at their engagement was a real pleasure, they were such a kind hearted and loving couple and they really took to the camera, making my life very easy with their natural approach.

I remember this wedding day with great fondness, from start to finish it was a real pleasure to be a part of. Families from two nations combining to create a beautiful atmosphere full of love, laughter and humility

I arrived at Rutland water golf course bright and early to find Camille with rollers in her hair, a cup of tea in her hand and a face beaming with excitement.

Whilst the girls were undergoing their morning prep I made sure I captured all the priceless details, I needed to do justice to the amount of thought and effort that had gone into her planning.

The morning was racing by so fast; as the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun. The cottage on the grounds of Rutland golf course has some beautiful rooms for bridal prep, they have lovely décor and great window light, perfect for us photographers. I entered the room to find Camille glowing with excitement, she looked stunning in her wedding gown. Shortly after he grand reveal to the family, the emotions spilled over, I really enjoy seeing the parents’ reaction, so priceless.

Normanton Church beckoned. Adrian looked the part in his chequered navy suit and burgundy bow tie. I loved the look; it really fitted in with the setting of the Rutland shore.

As more often than not, the wind was whipping around the church creating some photo worthy expressions from guest and all. The time had come to walk down the aisle to come face to face with her husband. Normanton Church ceremonies are always heartfelt and sincere; the registrars do a remarkable job of adding a personal touch to each service.

With the formalities over, the bride and groom could let their hair down and enjoy their day. We spent some time around the grounds of Normanton Church to take advantage of the gorgeous scenery and blue skies before heading back to Rutland water golf course for the reception.

A large line of guest with handfuls of confetti greeted them as they made their way into the grounds. Welcome drinks and canapés fuelled the candid moments. A particular highlight for me was the English and French kids running around playing together carrying their own flags of nationality, proudly waving them around in the air.

Once the meal and speeches where over I took the opportunity to take them off to embrace the rolling Rutland landscape, it offers some breath-taking backdrops for beautiful photographs. We were blessed with great light and everything just came together for them both. It was a real treat being able to spend some quality time soaking up the scenery, some welcome time alone for them to reflect on a wonderful day.

The fun didn’t stop there, back to the dance floor for a heartfelt first dance and some awesome dance moves.

I couldn’t resist taking them out once more to capture the setting sun over the horizon, a perfect end to a perfect day.
