Engagement shoots are a great way for us to get to know each other before the wedding; they’re really effective at putting you at ease and capturing some fun and romantic images in the process. It also helps me know how to get the best out of you on your wedding day. You receive all the photos from the shoot which are sent via a downloadable share folder, roughly between 60-100 images.
There is a small travel expensive fee if the location is over a 60-mile round trip from Rutland.
Add a second photographer to capture candid and natural moments of the day. The groom also has the option to be photographed getting ready in the morning when I’m with the bride.
I use Loxley Colour albums; they are some of the best products on the market so you can be assured your album will look beautiful.
The Storybook has a classy feel and design; it comes in a large range of styles that suits everyone’s taste. You choose around 130 images of your choice to go into the album.
I offer a large selection of cover designs from acrylic to soft leatherette, for more examples visit the link below:

Terms & Conditions
Lee Daniels Photography
3 Oakham Road
PLEASE NOTE – THIS CONTRACT IS AGREED ONCE YOUR INITIAL DEPOSIT IS PAID – NO SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED ON EITHER PART.
1a – The client is responsible for all travel expenses for weddings further than 60 miles round trip from Rutland, unless agreed otherwise, in writing.
1b – If you would like an engagement shoot out of a 60 miles round trip of Rutland then additional travel expenses apply.
1c – A fresh hot meal would be greatly appreciated on the day, along with the second photographer if you’ve hired one. Please states yes or no in the questionnaire if one will be provided so I can come prepared please.
1d – If the second shooter is also travelling more than 60 miles round trip from their home a small travel expenses fee applies
2a – Media & Albums: colour, black and white photographs provided on USB, all high resolution with no watermarks. Your album photographs will be chosen by yourselves, not the photographer.
2b – The client agrees to inform Lee Daniels immediately, in writing, of any alterations in the details listed on the questionnaire form including postponement or cancellation of the Wedding.
Cancellation of wedding date fees
2c – All deposits are non-refundable and below additional fees apply.
2d – If Cancelled with more than 2yrs notice, no additional fee incurred.
2e – If Cancelled between 12-23 months of the wedding incur an additional £250 fee.
2f – If Cancelled between 8 and 12 months of the wedding incur an additional £400 fee.
2g – If cancelled with less than 8 month’s notice incurs an additional Full Payment fee.
As I hope you can appreciate, I will not be able to rebook a date at short notice and will more than likely have turned down other customer enquiries.
Change of date/Covid
2g – If for any reason you need or want to change your date of the wedding there is a fee of £400 to do so. These terms come into effect if the date change is 14 months or less from the original wedding date. This is regardless of the circumstances, unless related to government imposed coronavirus restrictions (please see below). This fee is due to me most likely turning down numerous enquiries for the same date and therefore will effectively be losing out on income.
2h) The change of date fee if you move your wedding as a result of government imposed coronavirus restrictions will be £300, as I understand the circumstances are no-ones fault. This fee is to partially compensate me for what I will lose for being unable to book new clients into rearranged dates.
If you are looking to hold a new date as well as your original one I can pencil this in for free whilst you ponder your plans. However, if I then receive an enquiry for the new date I will contact you to see what your plans are. If at that time you would like to secure it officially, then the £300 rearrangement fee will need to be paid upfront to hold the date, this will be non-refundable. If the new date is not secured at this point, then I will accept other bookings for the new date.
3a – Lee Daniels agrees to devote his full time, attention and ability for the duration of the wedding day.
4a- Elements beyond Lee Daniel’s control such as: equipment failure, damaged to media storage, civil disturbances and/or weather conditions, road closures, traffic jams and accidents (Acts of God) which may inhibit or prevent Lee Daniels from completing in whole or in part.
In such events refunds are negotiable dependant on severity of outcome.
Lee Daniels will have back up equipment and media cards on his person to minimise the incidence of such occurrences. He will endeavour to avoid traffic jams etc wherever possible.
Cancellation of agreement
4b – Death or serious injury of illness of a close family member of either client or Lee Daniels.
4c – Injury to or illness of Lee Daniels personally.
4d – By mutual consent of both parties.
5a – Lee Daniels undertakes to obtain insurance against liability for professional negligence and against circumstances which prevent him from fulfilling this contract.
6a – Lee Daniels reserves the right to display images in his portfolio, on social media sites for promotion, in albums for promotion and on exhibition displays and backdrops unless client request otherwise in writing on the questionnaire.
6b – I hand over the copyright of the pictures to use at your will, all images are high resolution with no watermarks. I will also keep a backup copy on file for a year, with the objection to system failure or theft.
7a – Neither party shall be liable for any breach of its obligations resulting from causes beyond their reasonable control in the below statement.
7b – Causes deemed to be beyond reasonable control shall include: Death or serious injury to or illness of the Client and/or to a close family member; Death, injury to or illness of Lee Daniels personally.
7c – Each of the parties agrees to give notice immediately to the other upon becoming aware of an event of force majeure such notice to contain details of the circumstances giving rise to it.
Successors to the agreement
8a – Lee Daniels acknowledges that this agreement is personal to him and accordingly he shall not be entitled to assign the benefit of it.
9a – In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with this Contract and which has not been resolved following discussions and negotiations between a person or persons appointed or authorised by the Customer and the Writers then they undertake to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with the other in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
10a – Photography Deadlines – Photographs will be supplied on USB between 6 – 12 weeks after the wedding (this could be longer in peak season); in peak season photos will take longer to be received due to a natural backlog of editing. Album and storybooks will take the same time period to complete from the client’s selection of photographs to the photographer. I always do my best to supply with your images as soon as I can. Bear in mind I can take up to 4000 images per wedding, I individually edit each picture that’s worth keeping and this process takes time. So, thank you for your patience in advance. Covid-19 will play a role in the delay of editing time; some please expect delays in this period.
10b – Album photos – You select around 140 images for your album, although I can’t guarantee I can fit them all in. This is down to album layout and design. But I will do my best to do so. You have the chance to view your proofs before printing and have the option to change the design.
10c –Album design deadline – Once your album has been designed and you have been sent your proofs you have 8 months to make any changes and amendments, after this time period your album gets wiped of the system. I will not redesign your album as this is effectively designing two albums, so you lose the right to have an album. If you haven’t selected your images within 12 months of receiving your photos then there may be a price inflation to design your album in line with retailer inflation of products.
10d – Thank you card images – I cannot guarantee sending images prior to them being edited, this is due to a high volume of editing and prioritising getting clients images to them as soon as possible.
11a – Creativity – The photographer has creative licence to take photos that he feels appropriate. The bride and groom can suggest photos and group set ups they would like but these cannot be guaranteed; although I will do my best to capture all you require. Elements out of my control, such as weather, venue restrictions, and guest roaming off may result in the customers not getting the photographs they desire.
12a – Hotel and overnight accommodation – The photographer would appreciate overnight accommodation to be paid in full by the client if the travelling distance is over 100 miles from home to venue, especially if the client would like wedding photography to start early in the morning. This ensures the photographer avoids any potential road delays and arrives fresh after a good night’s sleep. Please note this is not essential but can be discussed prior to booking.
13a – Engagement Shoot – I will do my best to accommodate a particular date you would like your shoot, but this cannot be guaranteed. Engagement shoots on Saturdays will be rare, so Sunday and mid-week dates are likely. In case of wet weather cancelations, I will do my best to re-arrange the date but I can’t guarantee I’ll be free on preferred dates.
14a Second photographers – I the photographer cannot be held responsible for the second shooters actions. For example, if they become ill, are late, system failure or non-attendance. I can also not be held responsible if the images from the second photographer are not to your liking. I will do my best to offer a reliable and qualified second shooter and I will not select anyone who I feel is not suitable for the position.
If the second shooter is also travelling more than 60 miles round trip from their home a small travel expenses fee applies.
PLEASE NOTE – THIS CONTRACT IS AGREED ONCE YOUR INITIAL DEPOSIT IS PAID – NO SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED ON EITHER PART.
THIS CAN BE CONFIRMED BY RECEIPT AND BANK TRANSFER AUTHENTICATION.
