Bassmead Manor Barns has become an extremely popular wedding venue and for good reason. The barn its self is beautiful and wonderful for photography. The grounds offer fantastic photographic opportunities and bassmead manors staff are always on hand to make sure the day runs smoothly, not to mention the food is great.
I had the pleasure of photographing Nikki’s sisters wedding and I was happy to be invited back to photograph her own. It was lovely to see all the family again, not to mention the new addition.
I arrived early in the morning to capture the tail end of the hair and make up, all the girls where in full giggle mode, which was great to see. Nikki seemed very calm and collective and it felt like she just couldn’t wait for the ceremony to come around.
On this occasion whilst the bride was putting on her gown I had some great space and light to work with, that’s not always so in the family home. She looked fabulous and her dress was a perfect fit.
After plenty of girly humour and pre wedding antics it was time to make our way to Bassmead Manor barns. Nikki’s father had a beaming smile from the moment he saw her walk down the stairs and it didn’t seem to fade throughout the whole day.
All the guest where bursting with enthusiasm, keen to get a glimpse of the bride. And sure enough she made her way down the aisle of the beautiful barn, dimly lit with candles and fairy lights, very atmospheric.
The service was short but moving, with some heartfelt readings. The newly weds made their way into the courtyard greeted with handfuls of confetti. The day ran super smoothly all the guest, Nikki and James where a pleasure to work with. All were up for a good laugh and I hope this shows in your photos
I particularly enjoyed our 20-minute wonder around the grounds of bassmead manor, making good use of the farming fields and vintage backdrops.
After some epic moves on the dance floor, they were still keen to capture some after dark images, even in the drizzle.
I always look forward to a wedding at Irnham Hall, the grounds and setting are just perfect for a wedding photographer. So when Tracey and Paul mentioned this would be the wedding venue I was pleased.
I met Tracey and the bridal party early that morning, all was calm and collective for a while then the emotion of the day kicked in, the reality that she was getting married in a few hours took hold and the tears and heavy breathing began, mainly from the mother of the bride. It’s great to capture true emotions from a distance.Tracey looked amazing in her dress, it was one of the most detailed and beautiful dresses I have seen at a wedding.
It was time to leave for Irnham hall. When I arrived an anxious groom awaited, comforted by his grooms men, all seemed in great spirit.
The ceremony was held in the grounds of Irnham hall it was beautiful and heartfelt. With some touching readings.
The wedding had a seaside theme, sticks of rock, ice cream and all things coastal. It was a pleasure to photograph this wedding, such a fun packed and relaxed day.The guest and bridal party were so much fun. We were even treated to a red arrow display, all organised by the groom of course.
Its great for me as a photographer to have the options around the grounds of Irnham hall and I took Tracey and Paul on a 20 minute stroll, which i think they appreciated, although i’m there I get the impression the bride and groom enjoy some peace and quite for a while. This is a fantastic chance to photograph some relaxed and romantic photos.
We were soon into the first dance, everyone gathered around the bride and groom whilst they swayed from side to side, then a change in tempo and out came the props to entertain the kids, well and the big kids.
We ended the wedding day in fantastic fashion, sparkers. The staff at Irnham hall assisted in providing the blow touch, which proved handy. A lovely memorable way to end the evening.
