A Stunning South Farm Wedding

South Farm wedding photography & Photographer

South Farm is the perfect wedding venue for my style of photography. The grounds offer limitless options for creative work. You have fields surrounding the venue, which are perfect for sunsets, and they have piglets’ onsite; what more do you need?

I just adored this wedding; it was jammed packed full to the brim with laughter, happy tears and banter.

Sam & Kristian had upbeat personalities, with such expressive mannerisms. They had a natural draw to the camera and made everything look so effortless.

The ceremony

An outside ceremony at South Farm is something special and theirs was such a joy to witness, one minute they were sobbing, the next howling in hysterics; talk about an emotional rollercoaster.

I enjoyed capturing the interaction with all their guests and family, everyone was in such fine spirits and they all made me feel welcome.

Throw in some memorable speeches, a cracker of a sunset and some dance floor moves like I’d never seen before; this wedding was an absolute winner.

A Charming Christmas Wedding

Sussex Barns wedding photographer and photography

I love working at new venues and I love shooting Christmas themed weddings, so Sarah and Rob’s Sussex Barn wedding was always going to be a winner.

The rain had just blown over on my arrival, making way for some drier conditions, which always helps at winter weddings. I was warmly greeted by the immediate family and assured anything I needed wouldn’t be too much trouble.

The venue looked amazing, with so many sweet, personal touches; I could tell they had put so much thought and effort into the way they wanted their venue to look.

The morning flew by and soon enough we were immersed in a touching ceremony, which had a heart warming ambience about it; it was a pleasure to witness.

Winter Weddings

Like most winter weddings, I tried to move fast and limit the amount of time people had to stand out in the cold. This is always a fine balance but we managed to capture some lovely photographs. We spent some time in the main house taking advantage of the Christmas light set up; I really love how these photos turned out.

The magician kept us all entertained with numerous amazing performances; a surprise snow machine, which had me fooled for a second, gave us a winter wonderland whilst guests dined on some yummy fish and chips.

Sarah & Rob were a joy to work with, you could tell they had a special, close bond which really shone through in their images. Thank you for letting be a part of your wedding day.

A beautiful Marquee DIY wedding

Marquee DIY wedding photographer & photography

A countryside wedding is definitely my cup of tea; with plenty of open space, the option to move freely searching for natural compositions and the potential for a gorgeous sunset. So when Georgina & Andrew told me all about their DIY marquee wedding on their private land surrounded by the rolling Rutland countryside, I couldn’t contain my excitement, it sounded right up my street.

Straight from the word go – this wedding was action packed. Georgina had planned this day to perfection. I suppose you have to enjoy organising if you plan to have a DIY wedding. All of the sweet, personal touches just made this wedding that extra bit special.

Georgina’s enthusiasm for photos was immense, I loved her energy and excitement; every spare moment we had she would want to be taking photos. I obliged of course, for that’s what I’m here for.

We even took a quick detour to Eyebrook reservoir, whilst the guests made their way from the church to the venue. Here we captured some lovely scenic images with views over the Rutland countryside.  Without a doubt I took the most photos I’ve ever shot at a wedding that day.

My personal highlight was the golden hour foray into the fields. We had so much fun chasing the light, speedily moving from one location to the next to maximise creativity and variety.

Luckily they were blessed with gorgeous weather, I suppose with the marquee DIY weddings you are in the hands of the weather gods, but the forecast couldn’t have been kinder. The feel good vibe throughout the day trickled into the evening, the marquee was bouncing with energy all night long.

A stunning day of photography, but I sure was ready for a rest after it.
