I was glad when Jo and Peter mentioned their wedding venue was Chippenham Park in Cambridgeshire, it’s a beautiful wedding venue with endless options for photographs.
I arrived at Chippenham park around midday to meet Jo as she arrived, she was slightly apprehensive not about getting married but about the weather. She desperately wanted the ceremony outside but Mother Nature had other plans. It was agreed the wedding ceremony would be inside. Being inside for the ceremony from a photographic point of view is still great, the room is lovely with great window light.
Jo went for real emphasis on a floral theme, their where flowers everywhere, even her bouquet has half the size of her. She also had a wonderful floral headpiece, all of which her mum made. They really did look special.
I was kept busy interchanging between rooms, photographing the bridal preparations, the groom’s arrival and lots of kiddy pictures, trying to win their confidence is a big part of my work, I always find if you make friends with the children, everyone is more relaxed around you.
Once Jo was in her wedding dress, which looked stunning, there was special surprise from mum and dad out the front of Chippenham Parks front doors. A horse and carriage. What a magnificent slight it is when the bride is whisked away on the back of the carriage.
Meanwhile Peter was kept in suspense, but he was assured she hadn’t gone far. The service was emotional and heart felt. With some touching exchanges of personal emotions.
After the ceremony I went buy doxycycline antibiotics online about my work capturing scenes as they unfolded and setting up group pictures.
A real treat was the carrousel which all the children flocked to, well even the adults did too, I managed to sit on the back of a horse and tried to remain relatively still to capture the bride and groom in shot.
The day was flying by and before we knew it the meal and speeches where upon us. After which everyone was treated to the arrival of an ice-cream van, again the adults took to this just as much as the kids.
We found the time to take a wonder down river and capture some lovely intimate images of Jo and Peter, they appreciated a bit of quite time together and this really shows in the photographs.
I stayed long into the evening to photograph the dance floor antics as well as some low light images in the long grasses of Chippenham, which was a great way to end their wedding day.
All the best for the future
