Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding Photography – Lucy & Jonny

It was a crisp and sharp winters morning, with a piercing blue sky and a gentle sprinkling of white frost on the ground. Perfect conditions for a winter wedding, and in my eyes I was photographing a wedding at one of the most perfect wedding venues, Bassmead manor barns. I really do enjoy working here.

I arrived early at Bassmead to photograph as many details as possible before the bride Lucy arrived. The flowers in particular looked amazing, stunning work by Rebecca from https://www.facebook.com/Pollen.Designs/ As always the venue itself looked great and the staff are so well drilled that everything was running smoothly.

I introduced myself to the groom’s party and managed to capture some cool groom prep images, they all seemed like a fun bunch.

Lucy arrived in high spirits as you might expect and I went about my discrete business of photographing the getting ready process. All the bridesmaids were charged with excitement, I got the impression this was going to be an extra special day.

The beautiful Rickety barn was filling up with wedding guest and the buzz around was Bassmead was intensifying. The time had come to tie the knot.

The ceremony was meaningful and heartfelt, with some touching moments throughout. Soon after the service confetti was launched into the courtyard, a large group photo was taken and everyone was congregating buy antibiotics canada inside for a warm glass of mulled wine.

Due to the cold temperatures I made sure I didn’t keep people outside too long for group photos. I kept the bridesmaids on their toes by introducing some fun photography to take their mind off the chill. The conditions and light where just perfect.

The bride and groom where also keen to get as many photos as we could while we still had daylight to work with. This time of year you just have to work that little bit faster but the results can be just as great.

I was treated to some great food and speeches and in no time found myself photographing an intimate first dance. Soon after the dance floor was rammed and the tipsy dance moves where in full flow. I stayed long into the evening to capture the antics.

What a lovely wedding day.
