Lyveden New Bield wedding photography – Kayla & Stewart

The forecast looked perfect for Kayla and Stu’s wedding at Lyveden new bield. It was a beautiful summers day, which was great news as they had planned an outdoor themed wedding. Welcome drinks on the lawn, picnic blankets, cream cakes, tents and tipis and of course plenty of chocolate brownies.

I started the day of at Kayla’s parents house. The bridesmaids were all busy getting their hair and make up perfected, and they really did look lovely. Meanwhile Kayla was having her hair plaited by Piera from L D Hair Design, and for the final touches fresh daisies were delicately placed in her hair.

It was time for the bride to get into her wedding dress. All the ladies gathered down stairs to help, I came in to photograph the final stages. Her wedding dress suited her perfectly, such a beautiful design, and there were tears all round when the father of the bride (Steve) entered the room.

After a few more photos in the garden it was time to make our way to Marholm church. This is such a pretty church with great grounds and backdrops for wedding photography.

There was a real buzz of excitement as all the wedding guest and groom’s party arrived, the church was full to the rafters, not one single seat spare. The atmosphere was just fantastic.

Then in the distance you could hear the chugging of camper vans, they slowly made their way down the long track to the church. Beaming smiles appeared in all directions.

It was a proud moment for Dad as he walked his daughter down the aisle. I had the rare privilege of being able to take wedding photographs from the front of the church. I wish this happened more often because I can capture so many heart warming expressions. The church service flew by and before they knew it Kayla and Stu were husband and wife.

We spent some buy dog antibiotics uk time in Marholm church’s grounds making good use of confetti and camper vans, but everyone was keen to get to Lyveden new bield, so soon enough we were on our way.

Lyveden new bield is a stunning National Trust wedding venue. The backdrop of the Elizabethan ruins alone looks awesome for wedding photographs. There are also lovely open fields in all directions, with great potential for photos, particularly on a sunny summers day.

Kayla and Stu wanted their wedding to have a relaxed vibe, where everyone could mingle and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Everything just seemed to come together for them. There was a beautiful feel to their wedding day.

After the group photos and speeches I noticed the evening light was looking perfect, so I took them both off for some intimate photography, the light was so good I was reluctant to go back, it was simply stunning.

But the dance floor beckoned, and as the sun dropped the dance floor was packed and it stayed that way until the end of the night.

I imagine the DIY hangover kits came in handy the following morning…..
