So over lockdown I had a long list of jobs I wanted to get stuck into. I had every intention of working my way through them all and being super up-to-date with my admin. Turns out it’s now September and I’ve not made much headway, as looking after a toddler is pretty time consuming!

Blogging was top of the list, something I hardly ever find time to do due the editing backlog. I’m going to try to and start as I mean to go on; try….

What a wedding

I’d thought I’d start with one of my favourite venues Irnham Hall and one of the loveliest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with; Jade & Rob.

We clicked instantly at their engagement shoot, which was so much fun. They told me all about their plans for the wedding day and with the amount of meticulous planning going into it, I just knew it was going to be a cracker.

Love & friendship

Straight from the get go the vibe was perfect. Smiles and banter in the morning with the bridal party, beautiful light and surroundings to play with in and around the Irnhall Hall bridal suite. A church service like no other, you could just feel the love and friendship of the families coming together. A venue beautifully dressed with a unique feel.

It was clear to see Jade and Rob have a special bond and this shone through in their images. Everything was effortless; the romance, the fun, just an all round superb wedding.

It’s always a highlight of mine but seeing the look of excitement on their faces as they raced through the fields at dusk is what I do this job for… In that moment they were totally carefree and just being a couple in love.

Godwick hall and great barns wedding photography – Katrina & James

An emotional wedding day on so many levels at Godwick hall great barns in Norfolk, it was such a pleasure to be apart of.

I met the ladies nice and early during bridal prep and Katrina was so up beat and full of energy, I had to keep my wits about me to try and photograph her extensive array of expressions. I love this type of bridal prep where I can just stand back and capture the laughter and antics as they unfold.

Watching mum help Katrina into her wedding dress was a special moment and the grand reveal to all her lovely bridesmaids went down a treat.

We left for the stunning location of Godwick Hall, this was my first wedding there and I was so excited to get stuck into some creative photography.

James and the boys were busy greeting the guests; I got the impression this was going to be a lively wedding, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Katrina arrived in style and after a quick meeting with the registrars she walked down the aisle to meet her groom.

The registration and blessing had a beautiful mixture of emotion, laughter and sentiment, a perfect blend making a compelling service.

The time had come for everyone to let their hair down, there was always something for me to photograph; the whole day was non-stop action with generous amounts of laughter and fun.

The Godwick highlight is the famous tractor ride to the ruins. I tried to mix it up a little so we headed into some fields, which turned out to be a winner.

The whole wedding just flowed like one big party. We even ended up, against all odds, being able to capture the most wonderful and deserved of sunsets. The sky just ignited and smiled down on us, it was perfect.

Back into the barn for some outrageous dance moves which I’m sure lasted long into the night, a simply stunning wedding day.

Hazel Gap Barn wedding photography – Hayley & Charlie

An amazing wedding for so many reasons at the Hazel Gap Barn for Charlie & Hayley’s big day. Everything just fell into place, it was such a pleasure to be a part of.

I caught up with Hayley and her bridal party bright and early and as soon as I arrived I could see the attention to detail was second to none.

Throughout the morning everything slotted so naturally into place, from arrival of the flowers, to bridesmaids strutting the streets, to hair and make up finishing in good time. This all meant we had plenty of time to have some fun with photos and eat lots of cup cakes J

Charlie, with a little help from her mum slipped into her wedding gown, it suited her perfectly, and she looked beautiful. A highlight was Hayley’s niece keeping my camera busy with her cheeky smile throughout the morning.

Dad’s reaction when he laid eyes on his daughter for the first time was just priceless, once the emotions had subsided it was time to leave for the ceremony.

Tim my second shooter was at the venue capturing images of guest arrival and the groomsmen. Charlie and the boys were all in high spirits and there was a real buzz of anticipation in the air.

All the guests had been ushered into the barn, eagerly waiting Hayley’s bridal walk. She didn’t keep them waiting long

The ceremony was one of the most emotional I have seen, such a personal feel which was so refreshing to witness. A truly beautiful service.

It was time for the confetti run, which they did with style. The relaxed vibe continued throughout the day as guests mingled and loosened up with welcome drinks.

After the group photos and some more emotional speeches I noticed the light turning into the type of light that is every photographers dream so I suggested we went for a walk in the nearby fields. We were treated to some glorious conditions, which I took full advantage of, such a magical 15 minutes.

In no time they where both immersed in their first dance, the partying continued into the night, the bride squad took over the band as the guest bounced around without a care in the world.

Before I took my leave we headed into the woods to create some magical final images to top off a special wedding day.

Congratulations and all the best for the future .
