Rutland golf course & Normanton Church wedding photography – Charlotte and Josh

It was nice local wedding in Rutland for Charlotte & Josh’s big day. Normanton church for the ceremony and Rutland reputable antibiotics online water Golf course for the reception.

I met Charlotte mid-morning at Rutland golf course; herself and two bridesmaids were busy preparing for the big day ahead. All was very calm and the preparations were running smoothly.

I went about my business capturing all the finer details that I like to photograph: the wedding dress, shoes, flowers and jewellery. As more family members arrived the excitement begun to build and it seemed it suddenly dawned on everyone that Charlotte was getting married in a few hours. But still the bride remained calm.

She looked wonderful in her wedding dress, such fine detail and a beautiful design. I managed to capture a special moment when her mother and father gazed on her for the first time in her wedding gown. Those intimate moments are just priceless and a privilege to photograph.

I drove ahead to Normanton church to capture the arrival of the groom and guests. As always, Normanton church looked spectacular, it looks particularly great on a bright day, the blue in the lake and sky really jump out at you, it just begs to be photographed. The Groom and his groomsmen all looked exceptionally smart and also gave a very calm and collected.

The wedding camper vans meandered along the path towards Normanton church, such a beautiful sight. Charlotte was finally ready to meet her groom at the altar.

Glenn took a glance over his left shoulder to see his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. Their vowels were exchanged and within moments they were married.

After some beautiful readings and the signing of the register it was time to walk back down the aisle as husband and wife.

We spent some quality time around the grounds of Normanton church, taking advantage of the gorgeous blue skies. We also had some fun in the camper vans which made for great photographic props.

We all left to get to Rutland water golf course for the reception. They arrived to confetti, champagne and tumultuous applause from a courtyard full of their nearest and dearest family and friends.

I took the time to capture some candid photography whilst everyone mingled in the courtyard. Soon after this, we started photographing the group photos and friends pictures, we really had some fun with these, such a lively bunch of people.

After a tasty 3-course meal it was time for the eagerly anticipated speeches. All were heartfelt and entertaining, especially the duo of best men.

I was keeping an eye on the weather and noticed the sky had the most beautiful orange hue, begging for some sunset shots. We jumped in my car and took a short drive to a field I had spotted earlier. The conditions where great, I’d say it was one of the best sunsets I’d seen all year. Beautiful golden light, they both were really lucky. After a photo packed 15 minutes we headed back to Rutland Golf course to proceed with the cake cutting and first dance.

I stayed into the evening to photograph the dance floor antics and also have a taste of the kiln-baked pizza, which was great.

A really fantastic wedding day, which was an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
